What happens if the recipient isn't home for the delivery?
Modified on: Tue, 21 Jul, 2020 at 12:05 PM
If no one is home to receive the delivery, parcels are often left in a safe place. This can often be with a neighbour, behind a shed, gate, bin or under a sheltered area where the parcel is hidden from public view.
If the delivery address is an apartment block, hotel or office, the parcel can sometimes be left with the reception or concierge. A card will be left, specifying where the parcel has been left.
If there is no suitable place for the parcel to be left, a calling card will be left at the delivery address for the recipient to contact the courier and re-arrange delivery.
Please note that our Letterbox range is designed to fit through the letterbox. Therefore orders don't need to be signed for.
